Question 1

Are you licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Backyard Oasis is a licensed Residential Builder in South Carolina (SC RBB: RBB415333) and we carry full insurance. We're happy to share our license and insurance details before we start any work.

Question 2

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We work across the Lowcountry of South Carolina and Georgia — including Savannah, Hilton Head, Beaufort, Bluffton, Charleston, and Kiawah Island. If you're nearby, just ask and we'll let you know if we can get to you.

Question 3

How long does a typical pool or porch project take?

Accepted Answer

Every project is different. A screened porch or lanai repair can take a couple of weeks, while a custom pool and patio might run several weeks. After we see your space and scope, we'll give you a realistic timeline estimate.

Question 4

What's the payment process?

Accepted Answer

For projects under $50,000, we collect a 50% deposit before scheduling or ordering materials. For larger projects, we break payments into milestone draws. Final payment is due before final inspections and punch list completion.

Question 5

What does the construction process look like?

Accepted Answer

It starts with a consultation to understand your vision, then a detailed quote. Once you approve and we collect the deposit, we order materials and schedule the work. We stay in communication throughout, handle permits and inspections, and walk through a final punch list with you before wrapping up.

Question 6

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We coordinate permits, inspections, and engineering as needed. If inspectors require changes beyond the original scope, we'll explain it and those added costs get folded into the project transparently.

Question 7

What if there's storm damage during construction?

Accepted Answer

Damage from Acts of God like hurricanes, hail, flooding, or extreme wind is the owner's responsibility. We do rebuild storm-damaged lanais and screens — that's a big part of what we do.

Question 8

Do you offer warranties on your work?

Accepted Answer

We stand behind our craftsmanship. Specific warranty terms depend on the project and materials — we'll cover what's included in your proposal so there are no surprises.
